ALASKA ENERGY REBATE PROGRAM INFORMATION

Active Inspections and Energy Ratings, LLC is certified to provide Energy Rebate Inspections throughout Alaska.  Our service area includes North to Talkeetna, East to Glenallen, South to Eagle River and West to Point McKenzie.

*Please Note:  We, as many other certified energy raters in the area have received an overwhelming response to this program.  We are working as quickly as possible to provide ratings to the homeowners on our list of over 700.  We are currently taking no more names until we can secure another energy rater or raters.  Our best advice is to check the AHFC website often for the addition of new certified raters and contact them as soon as possible for an appointment.

Signing Up for an Alaska Energy Rebate

1.  Sign up to be on a list with one of the area certified energy raters

2.  Get an "As Is" rating

3.  Submit application for refund rating fee

4.  Make the improvements

Some things on the list of improvements may include:

replacing heating system

replacing water heater

replacing windows

air tightening

installing  proper ventilation systems

replacing old heating systems with newer, more efficient ones

adding insulation to the attics and foundations

5.  Get Post Improvement Rating

6.  Submit rating and receipts to Alaska Housing for rebate.
