staff,
inspectors, and all inspections done through her office.
She has been
a member of
since 2001 and is the current president of the
ASHI Alaska chapter.
She is on the
roster for FHA, VA, Rural Development as well as an Energy Rater for the
State of Alaska.

Around the Active Inspections
office she is known as the "Office Diva", but will answer to Shirlee Pilny.
As office manager and bookkeeper, Shirlee keeps us in perfect form. After living on Adak while
in the Navy, Shirley and her family came back to Alaska to build their dream
home, a log house in Alaska.
Shirley shares a little advice,
"I have a great
appreciation and understanding for all others who are following their
yearnings. Home builders and home owners, take notes; lots of notes on
everything that happens along the way, so at the end of your journey, you
will have quite the story to tell".

After serving proudly in the
armed forces, Caryl moved to Alaska from Ohio and has called it home ever
since. She now has 19 years experience as a licensed electrician and
over 3 years experience as a licensed home inspector here in Alaska.
Caryl is

International Code Council
Certified, a
registered home inspector for the State of Alaska, and the valley's biggest
Miami Dolphins fan. Caryl has been working with the Active Inspections team since June, 2001.
